Besides our tourist routes, Dimensión Aérea offers others activities related with aviation, going from a flight lesson to a trembling aerobatic flight.

 

PILOT FOR A DAY
Live the experience of flying an airplane, in hand with Dimensión Aérea and Nivel 195 --Flight School-, you could become a pilot during a day. You will get an introductory lesson to airplane flying, flight techniques, radiotelephony, navigation, etc.

A unique experience for aviation enthusiast. This program consist in a flight lesson, it is divided in a theoretical part where you will learn in an easy and funny way everything necessary to become a pilot for a day.

Dynamic of the activity

The flight will be performed in a Cessna model 172, this aircraft is very easy to fly. Our pilots are licensed instructors by the Dirección General de Aviación Civil with broad experience in flight instruction as well as other aviation related activities.
This activity is divided in a ground lesson during approximately 45 minutes where the following subjects are considered:

  • Doing a flightplan
  • Aircraft exterior inspection
  • Why an airplane flies
  • Stalls. What is a stall? How to avoid stalls
  • Instruments
    • What are they?
    • What are they used for?
    • When we use instruments?
  • Cockpit and flight controls.
  • Flying techniques.
    • Engine start
    • Taxiing
    • Takeoff
    • Climb
    • Turns
    • Descends
    • The compass
    • Navigation
    • Approaching the runway
    •  Landing

After this short ground lesson, which is done during the our way to the airplane and flight preparations, so that it results pleasant. We will continue with a 45 minutes flight where you will act as a pilot during the whole flight, supervised by our instructor. The flight will be done in the following manner:

  • Start up of the airplane
  • Request tower authorization, normally done by the instructor.
  • After being authorized, taxiing to the active runway.
  • Departing and climb to the assigned altitude.
  • Climb and descent, turns 15º, 30º and 45º.
  • Once the client is comfortable with the airplane, we will perform a stall.
  • Once every thing is done we will request authorizations to land at the airport.
  • The client prepares the airplane for landing, as instructed in the ground lesson and land the airplane.

This activity is done at the airport of Granada.

Requirement

  • To be of age.
  • To be of normal weight and height.
  • Not to be pregnant

Sometimes due to safety reasons the flight cannot take place in the intended date whether it is for meteorological or technical reasons. If we cannot start the activity we will offer an alternative date.

Advices previous to the flight

  • Comfortable clothes.
  • Eat somenthing before flying
  • Your camera.
  • National identity card or passport. Needed to access security controls at the airport.

AEROBATIC FLIGHT

Dimensión Aérea in colaboration with Club Acrobático Andaluz, offer the possibility to enjoy a unique experience.

During 30 minutes you could feel like any aerobatic pilot and understand practising this sport. We will perform looping, rolls, spins and other aerobatics manoeuvres. Feel the G force in hand with our broad experience instructors.

Dynamic of the activity

The dynamic of this flight begins with the arrival to the airplane and the initials preparations. We explain to the client every manoeuvre we will perform during the flight, points of reference and tricks you would consider to enjoy this spectacular sport.

Once we have put the parachutes and given the utilization instructions, you will get seated and fastened to your seat. We begin with engine start, request authorization to the control tower and proceed to the active runway, where we will start our flight.Reaching our assigned altitude we will perform a checking doing a roll and going inverted, so we can check seatbelts are well fastened and there is any loose object inside the cabin.
The first manoeuvre we will perform in our aerobatic program is a looping, followed by rolls, hammer heads, imperial tombe, spins, etc.
Every manoeuvre are performed in a pleasant way and always checking the physical condition.
Once the manoeuvres are finished we will return to the airport where we will give you a certificate in name of Club Acrobático Andaluz.

  • To be of age.
  • Not have suffer a serious cardiovascular illness.
  • Normal weight and height.
  • Not being pregnant.
  • To sign a letter of resignation before the flight.
